I forgot about deviantart.. :) My college friends, who are active users, reminded me. All I can say is my photography has changed quite a bit. Hopefully you all can appreciate that.

It's been so long. Too long, I fear. I hate to say it, but I lost faith in photography last year. I was doing it for everyone around me, not myself. Photojournalism is a beautiful, wonderful thing, but I was grappling with the uglier side of it. I was producing photographs simply to satisfy journalistic duties and please the masses (there's nothing wrong with that, it was just I stopped caring about the artistic side of it). There were days where I scorned my camera; wanted nothing to do with it. I put it in the very corner of my room and tried to forget about it. I'm up in the early morning (or late night, as Ed says) listening to Rachael Yamagata and staring over the city. I'm cold, but it's comfortable. I stare at my own reflection and the young people running around, screaming to find themselves. It's a beautiful tragedy. I've never thought much about Valentine's Day. I think it's a beautiful reminder - we're not alone. We're never alone. I have kind friends, a beautiful family, and warm words to share with whoever wants to hear them. That is the beauty I seek and give on the fourteenth of February. There are things that should be told (Later, later, I always say) but for now, I'll leave them at
